The story of Rroma HeArt & Experiential Rroma Museum (ERM)

Imagine
The Experiential Rroma Museum is the main result of the „Rroma HeArt” Erasmus+ project, a youth exchange developed by SUPER TINERI in partnership with 8 organisations from Europe.   The museum is not a place presenting objects and history, it is the place where you feel, where you live, where you learn and understand by experience how is to be a Rroma, approaching all the stereotypes: the music, the dance, the food and the lack of resources. The museum draws attention to those stereotypes and fights against them by making young people to personally experience the context where many Rroma are forced to live. At the end, with the right debriefing, the participants are becoming more aware and more tolerant regarding the needs, the lives and the challenges of Rroma community. The Experiential Rroma Museum was more effective in promoting tolerance, and diversity than any other activity about Rroma and minority rights, we did.    The story of the youth exchange During the first two day

Recenzie despre Muzeul Experienţial Rroma din Băiceni, Cucuteni, Iaşi

Imagine

Third month as Erasmus volunteer in Romania

Imagine
What a nice year was the 2018! With the ups and down. With a lot of new things I learnt, new friends, new places. The year passed so fast, especially these last 3 months, that I started my EVS here in Romania. It's almost the 1/3 part of the time I will spent here, doing my EVS and I feel I learnt and done so many things that I couldn't even imagine in my pre-EVS life. And all of these thanks to Mihaela, the project coordinator, Dragoş, my mentor and Alin, my Romanian Language Teacher.  Starting with this month, December, we made with some others volunteers of our organisation Asirys, a plan for presentation in Petru Rareş technological school, in Tîrgu Frumos. We visited the school and we talked with almost 200 students and their teachers about our NGO, about non-formal methods of education and about volunteering. We created a program that is called "Fapte Bune" (Good acts) in which the students are invited do some good things for their school, colleagues, teach

Testimonial: My Forum Theater Adventure

Imagine
Between 15 and 24 November 2018, I had one of the most beautiful and educational days in Romania. I participated in the training course organised by Youth Alma Association, called "Drama Tools for Shaping Youth". We played a lot of energizer games, we learned new non-formal techniques, which I used while I visited the local schools with the organisation I am volunteering "Asirys". At the beginning of the training, we tried to know each other better while creating a path with our life in the last 5 years. I saw that I had a lot of commons with most of the people. But what will be unforgettable for me is a game in which we had to describe our biggest fear and our hero when we were children. The most fascinating was that with one of the 27 participants, we had the same fear and hero. We learned a lot about the 8 keys competences of the Youthpass certificate and we made a collage on the wall of the meeting room in which we were writing every day all the skills we

My second month as international volunteer in Romania

Imagine
... So continuing my EVS trip in Tirgu Frumos. Thanks to Mihaela - the project coordinator, Dragoş - my mentor, Alin - my Romanian teacher and the volunteers of our organisation, Asirys, I had another wonderful month in Romania that passed so fast, full of new information, new pictures, new trips and many new friends. From the first days of the month we continued our cooperation with the local shop where we organized some meetings with the volunteers and discussed about the Greek intercultural day. We also started an event called "Thank God it's Friday", where we are presenting each Friday, European movies in our youth center for the volunteers and all people interested. The first movie we saw it was a German one which was followed by an interesting conversation about the message and what we can learn from it. During the weekend, I visited the botanical garden in Iasi and saw a lot of flowers and trees that grow in the country this season. The second week started with
