Arts Lab 6.0: Yasser Abbas - Month 5
The month started with the last workshop at Școala Gimnazială "Ion Creangă'' which was divided into two periods before and after traveling to Bucharest. It was one of the best art residencies. I worked with the students on some theater training, and Saleh and I filmed few scenes that were written by the students. I played football with them as well and we also filmed Rahaf’s song. The students were nice and responsive, and we had a wonderful time together.
Then we traveled to Bucharest for the midterm, which I didn’t expect to be as enjoyable as it was. We spent three days at the IBIS Hotel, which was really a wonderful hotel in terms of accommodation, rooms, food, and water of course. Then I visited many places, such as the old town. Then we started the first midterm session, which were enjoyable. We got to know many volunteers from different nationalities and did many different activities together, prepared by the wonderful speakers, such as the Meditation, Samurai, and Mission Impossible, etc. I also said goodbye to my best friend at Arts Lab - Kristers and Katrina and we had a great time in one of the parks in Bucharest and it was the best place I visited in Bucharest the interactive Van Gogh exhibition was amazing.
Then after the end of the midterm I traveled to Bra;ov and spent three days visiting many places and mountains and also had a great time then I returned to Târgu Frumos to continue the workshop at the schools and prepare for the Rroma exhibition and in this exhibition, I led a short theatrical performance about the story of Dincă and then we started to prepare to work on the last project I have completed which is Cucuteni.
What I aspire to for the rest of the time is to continue searching for the opportunities to continue and work on developing every artistic project I do and start preparing for my personal project which will be full of memories of this experience.
Thanks!
