Arts Lab 7.0: Anes Taki Eddine Zerrouni - Month V
Hello again,
I would like to share more about my experience during this month in the Arts Lab 7 program.
During this period, I participated in different artistic and cultural activities. We did our second Jemom exhibition at the House of Culture, where we presented personal artworks ( for us was the play) and discussed them with visitors.
We had meetings and joined several intercultural nights with my colleagues, such as the Italian cultural night, Turkish , and the Portuguese cultural night, which created a friendly space for sharing traditions, food, and stories. I was involved in the Rroma residencies , we did workshop with my friend Loay and created a personal relief artwork inspired by the Rroma community, representing a horse and carriage. Which is experimented with new ideas and materials.
This process helped me understand better their culture and daily life. We also participated in the Rroma exhibition at Ion Creangă, which was an important experience for me.
Additionally, I joined the Cucuteni residencies, had a very useful meeting with my mentor Alexandra, and now we are in Bucharest for the mentoring evaluation, reflecting on our progress in the program. I meet new volunteers from everywhere doing different volunteering programs .
This month made me feel motivated, inspired, and more confident working in intercultural environments and presenting my artistic ideas in public.
Through these activities, I developed my artistic skills, improved my communication, and learned how art can be used as a tool for dialogue between different cultures.
In the future, I want to continue developing my personal artwork, stay involved in the Rroma residencies and future exhibitions, and contribute actively to upcoming artistic and cultural projects.
This monthly report was written by Anes Taki Eddine Zerrouni, our Algerian volunteer taking part in a seven-month Arts Lab 7.0 mobility, co-funded by the European Union under the European Solidarity Corps.
