Arts Lab 5.0: Ahmed Hakmi, Morocco - Month 3
Hello, I’m so happy to share with you the report of the third month of me here in Romania. I’ve made a lot of beautiful and few sad memories here and I really want to make more and more.
I really can’t believe that three months have already passed, it feels like started yesterday. Anyway, this month has a lot to say as we started it in the hills of Cucuteni for a photo session for the next catalog. I remember that day was the first coldest day, we were literally freezing up there, also this month started with us learning how to make fire and it was very fun for me because I learned so fast how to make it and I was the responsible for making fire the first days till we spliced the roles.
I also remember a day in this month where I experienced a lot, we went to celebrate the results of our first artist residency in Petru Rareș school where we danced and sing and had a lot fun with our students there. Also in the same day we went to students club where me and Muhammed performed a song. that day was also the day where the 1st member to leave us, it was Arty and I really miss him a lot. In the end of the day, we went to Iași where I first experienced the underground clubs, it was amazing for me to see that atmosphere for the first time.
Unfortunately, this month we had a trip to Moldova, but me, Muhammed, Hassan and Hajer weren’t able to go because of the visa. So we spent the week at home working on our personal projects and preparing for the cultural nights. It was very strange and unusual for me seeing the house empty like that.
One of the challenging things this month was working and preparing for the Cucuteni Alternative Museum. It was a really hard week for me because I had to work not on only my project, but collaborated also with Aliye and Muhammed to do the VFX to their video. But in the end everything paid off and everyone had great results.
Anyway, too much happened this month, so I want to mention some of the important moments. We sadly said a bye bye and I hope not a goodbye to Rafael. It was a very sad moment for me because he’s the guy that you learn so much from.
We celebrated the Aliye’s birthday, also I went ice skating where I fall more than 5 times just to learn how to do it. And finally we started our new artist residency in Moldova school.
