Arts Lab 5.0: Ahmed Hakmi, Morocco - Month 5

Imagine
It's truly heart-wrenching to realize that my time in this incredible house, where I've created countless beautiful memories, is coming to an end. It's also difficult to fathom saying goodbye to people whom I never imagined I would meet and develop such incredible bonds with just five months ago. 💔 However, I’ll enjoy these days till it’s time to leave this amazing atmosphere. Anyway. This month started with a caravan in Ceplenița. It was a day full of joy because we meet too many students and we visited some places near the village, also we had the chance to learn a little bit about decorating or sewing the Romanian traditional clothes. and after few days we made a surprise birthday party to Hassan. During that week, I was still going to Moldova School to finish the mural, which is the best murals for me so far even tough it was in stressful time for me. And unfortunately, I wasn’t able to be a part of the JEMOM exhibition. After that, we had to leave Târgu Frumos for a w

I really can’t believe that I’m writing the report of the fourth month and chocked about HOW fast this month was fast. Anyway, this month also have been full of new experiences and full of ups and downs as any other month. This month started in Iași, visiting the Jewish Museum, and knowing more about their history here in Iași and the surroundings. Then we had a visit to the military museum where we meet an organisation of the Rroma people where we had the chance to present our countries and we ended that day by having some workshops of different dances and Tarabana.  After that, we visited a village where we had to do the caravan and I was really surprised about the school in that village because it was really clean and organised also they gave us a lot of traditional food. After few days we went to Vaslui, where we did a Cucuteni caravan too. I drove all the way there and I was really fascinated about the weather that day because it was all covered by ice and most of the way was fogg

Hello, I’m so happy to share with you the report of the third month of me here in Romania. I’ve made a lot of beautiful and few sad memories here and I really want to make more and more. I really can’t believe that three months have already passed, it feels like started yesterday. Anyway, this month has a lot to say as we started it in the hills of Cucuteni for a photo session for the next catalog. I remember that day was the first coldest day, we were literally freezing up there, also this month started with us learning how to make fire and it was very fun for me because I learned so fast how to make it and I was the responsible for making fire the first days till we spliced the roles. I also remember a day in this month where I experienced a lot, we went to celebrate the results of our first artist residency in Petru Rareș school where we danced and sing and had a lot fun with our students there. Also in the same day we went to students club where me and Muhammed performed a song. th

Salut! I'm having a great time here in Târgu Frumos! I've been spending wonderful moments with my friends, making lots of memories. It's been my second month here, and it's been incredible to see the results of my hard work paying off both personally and professionally. The month started with completing a major project, a mural at Petru Rareș Highschool. It was a challenging and stressful project that took more time than expected. Although I'm always seeking perfection, everyone else loved the result, and I'm happy with it too. One of the good moments during this month was making a small surprise for Mihaela's birthday, although we celebrated it two days later. We went to a hill where we could see the entire Târgu Frumos and had a photo session for the catalog. We had the opportunity to host around 50 students from Iași and conducted workshops with them. It was an incredible experience, as they were lovely and most of them spoke English,  so we connected. I&

It's been a whole month since I started my amazing adventure as a volunteer in Romania, and it's been a time filled with unforgettable experiences and personal growth. When I think back, I remember the moment I eagerly signed up for the project, feeling really excited. On September 14th, I arrived in Târgu Frumos and was warmly welcomed by Mihaela and some friends who were already here. All my worries disappeared, I felt safe and like I belonged when I stepped into the Super Tineri (ASIRYS) Center and met my colleagues Muhammed, Sena, Hassan, Carla, Raph, and Raphaelle. Together, we started an incredible journey. Over the past few weeks, I've had the pleasure of getting to know all the other volunteers and learning about their countries and traditions. Through this shared experience, we quickly became close friends and began to understand the Arts Lab 5.0 project, especially the idea of alternative museums like Folklore, Cucuteni, Jewish Memorial Open Museum, and Rroma Muse
