Arts Lab 6.0: Kristers Glapito - Month 4

Christmas, New Year, family and reunion with the team - can't think of work experience much, can I?

The most difficult part was going back to Fatherland as a visitor - usually it’s the other way around. The trip in general was exhausting, not to mention that the train broke down when we were going back to Târgu Frumos.

I had a lot to think about when I was home. I scheduled meetings with my father, mother and a family friend who owns a marketing company… therefore I changed some of my plans, considering some advice.

Until New Year, I thought that I was born with Rroma roots, considering that my grandma knows some mysticism work and my cousin's grandma is a Rroma community member. But when I spoke with my grandpa, he showed me a full family tree that proves it differently. Now I only need to check my grandma’s family tree and I’ll have my full answers whether or not it is true.

Now I’m applying for colleges, thinking about work in my home and how to help my family. I guess travelling will stay as it’s supposed to be - just for visiting. Next up I’m definitely considering Armenia after the presentation that happened with Sona and her mother. I never thought that this country has such a rich history, especially - Biblical one. It amazed me (the wine was very good also).

Report written by Kristers Glapito, he's from Latvia and he's one of the 14 volunteers participating in Arts Lab 6.0, a project co-funded by the European Union through the European Solidarity Corps program.
