Arts Lab 6.0: Nikola Svobodova - Month 4
This month has gone even faster than the other ones did. We had a two week Christmas vacation, so a high number of days this month I was back home in Czech Republic.
We started by having an exhibition for kids in the local library. Another exhibition was in café Negru Zi in Iaşi, these were exhibitions with Folkloristica artworks. In the cafe it was a bit challenging to fit in the small space , but it was really nice to meet new people and to have it somewhere else. This café lets artists exhibit their art, so this was the perfect space.
We also finished the Secret Santa, we uncovered who was whose and gave each other the final presents :) Right after that, people started to slowly disappear to travel for the holiday.
I came back after two weeks and right after started to work on my personal project, for the Rroma museum. I decided to create illustrations showing Rroma people. At the end of this month we visited another school for our next residency. Me and Soukaina are planning to do a mural workshop for the students. We made a design with the kids, that we’ll paint with them in their school. Beside these things we managed to have Armenian night with Sona's mom.
We came back from the vacation with fresh heads, and also had a bit of time to absorb the things that happened since we came here. I am excited about what these last two museums bring us.
