Arts Lab 7.0: Andres Peran | Month V

I am on the 15th of January. We are preparing to do the play in the house of culture, this week was extra cold (I never had lived this). The play was very successful. I think I was very proud of my mates.

The next week I did the residences with Mohamed. We enjoyed a lot with the kids in Moldova School and I think that they learned a lot about the Rroma Community by playing different games and playing music. Mohamed and I were very satisfied with the work that we did. After of this I started to do my personal artwork, I made a lot of things for this: I made a” Cajon Gitano” that is a percussion musical instrument that the Rroma community play a lot in Spain, I made a map about the Rroma music in Europe and a video that show the different sound of the Rroma community in Europe. We did the exhibition, which was good I think.

After we started the Cucuteni residencies, I was with my good friend Anes for this work. We were changing a lot of schools and children but we are able to adapt to everything, we did a very good job and we enjoyed it too. The children loved our workshops and enjoyed a lot with us. We were very happy and proud of our work.

This month was different. I spend a lot of time in the house because of the cold, I am very comfortable with all my mates. I am surrounded by a lot of people that take care of me. I feel very good with them. Now we have another adventure for us in Bucharest, I am very excited for this, let's see what happens…

This monthly report was written by Andres Peran, our Spanish volunteer taking part in a seven-month Arts Lab 7.0 mobility, co-funded by the European Union under the European Solidarity Corps.
