Arts Lab 7.0: Andres Peran | Month VII

On the 10th of March I decided that I am gonna be part of the team of painting the hub with my mates Annalisa, Beyza, Anes and Loay. Those were hard weeks full of work and different tasks on the hub, like cleaning the walls, painting them, and cleaning the floors… The work was difficult because our mates were traveling so we were less people. I saw how my mates and friends were stressed a lot for this project. I felt worried about them because they overwork a lot. I overworked a little too but I am more used to physical jobs like this so for me it wasn't so difficult.

Another important thing was the leaving of Monica and Hevdika, the beginning of the end of the program.

This month was my first Holy week. I passed far from my city and my family and it was a little difficult for me too. I miss them and the ambience of my city on those days.

I experimented at the end of Ramadan. It was so cool. I am very thankful to all my mates for inviting me to live with them at this important moment and learn about it.

After a lot of weeks of work in the hub we finished our work and we had 2 days to prepare our artworks for the exhibition but I could manage it.

The exhibition was my favorite I think, the combination of the hub and the colorful artworks of my mates was so so cool, the people enjoyed a lot too.

This is gonna be my last report on this project. I'm so grateful, I met a new family for me, people who I love and people who love. I learned a lot of things here that are gonna be very useful for my future life and my future projects. Spain and a lot of new opportunities and adventures are waiting for me. After this project I have a very different way to see things in other perspectives.

This monthly report was written by Andres Peran, our Spanish volunteer taking part in a seven-month Arts Lab 7.0 mobility, co-funded by the European Union under the European Solidarity Corps.
