Arts Lab 4.0: Month IV, Chiara Gentili - Growth

Imagine
I cannot hide the emotional difficulty I feel while writing this monthly report because the past month was the most complicated and intense period I have ever experienced. However, I feel grateful for the experiences that have contributed to my growth and maturity in many aspects. During this dense time, I had the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and embrace a new idea with the help of the wonderful Sara.  Together, we designed a workshop and methodology that combined emotional intelligence, theater, and magic for the Alternative Museum Rromanes. This collaboration with the students and Sara brought out my deepest and most vulnerable parts, which was both emotional and rewarding. I am learning that it takes courage to get involved and live through every emotion and experience to the end to truly get closer to happiness.  Unfortunately, we lost a special companion this month, which has left a void in our family. Although it is still difficult, I want to cherish all the speci

Arts Lab 4.0: Month III, Chiara Gentili - Courage

Imagine
If I have to be honest, I still struggle to realize that even the third month has already passed and that therefore I have officially reached the middle of my experience. The past month has been the most complicated and complex for me. For the first time since I started volunteering I came out of the magic bubble that has been created and I went back to Italy for the Christmas holidays. I do not hide that I felt fear because I feared to go back in time and lose all the things experienced and learned here. This feeling has in fact accompanied me a little in these days, but my family and friends welcomed me with open arms and hearts full of love. Before leaving, I worked on the creation of the Cucuteni Alternative museum. In the design phase I felt lost because I was not clear in mind how to reconcile this culture with the work I would have to do with the students of the Garabet Ibrăileanu institute. For the first time, however, I had the courage to rely on myself and this has allowed me

Arts Lab 4.0: Month II, Chiara Gentili - Live every moment

Imagine
Time passes inexorably and is dense but at the same time short. In the last month we finished the Alternative Museum of Folklore and I took part in my first installation. Seeing all the collective efforts materialize made me understand the greatness of the passion that each of us is committing to the project, and that feeling was wonderful.  There was no lack of unexpected events, which sometimes made my days a little more gray, but at the same time the love and dedication that I feel I receive every day, allow me to always have new energy to spend with others. With the magical Federica I collaborated to create our Italian night. The effort used was a lot, but directly proportional to the satisfaction in seeing the smiles on the face of our guests. For the future I hope to be able to continue to live every moment with the same joy, lightness and intensity that are accompanying me now. Chiara Gentili is from Italy and she's doing a six-month volunteering project under Arts Lab 4.0,

Arts Lab 4.0: Month I, Chiara Gentili - Connections, discoveries, roller coasters

Imagine
Connections, discoveries, roller coasters. These are the words I want to use to describe my first month in Romania. The beginning of my new adventure was very fast, but at the same time full of stories, traditions, smiles and emotions.  The warmth and welcome I received immediately made me feel part of a new big family on which I could rely. The activities I had the opportunity to develop were very varied and stimulating. Together with the guys of the team we have in fact created different workshops that have put us in greater contact with local traditions and in particular with folklore. This culture is pulsating and lives thanks to the generations that with enviable care continue to transmit the history that unites them. I really want to continue to discover this heritage, to fully immerse myself in the emotions that this adventure is giving me and to let myself be transported into the future that awaits us.
