I arrived in Târgu Frumos on 17 August. I was very scared of living in a totally different place, with new people but as soon as I entered our home I felt very peaceful and calm. By knowing the other volunteers I found really amazing people with whom sharing experiences, thoughts, and feelings even if our English was not very good. During the first days, we explored the town and its surroundings: the first things I noticed were the beauty of nature and landscapes, and the kindness of people and local volunteers.   In particular, the Cucuteni museum and the exhibition of the Human symposium were really inspiring for me because they made me think about the importance that art has now and always had for humans. After that, we started working on our first workshop about folklore. Hey you, I’m Yavuzhan Gumus from Turkiye. I’m a visual art teacher and also a sculptor. It's been a month since I arrived in Târgu Frumos, this town is more beautiful than I could have imagined, it is full of nature and is very peaceful.   We participated in a lot of activities but my favorites were the events at Sturdza Palace in Miclăușeni and the Human Symposium of Ionela Mihuleac, from Cucuteni.   At Miclăușeni castle, in the ''Journey to 1900'' event, I got the role of Prince George and I did a ceramic workshop on the topic of the Cucuteni civilization. We needed to diversify our approach because the people didn’t know much about the Cucuteni civilization. So besides ceramic, we had music, and drawing workshops. Non-formal education helps people to remember better and learn faster. A month has passed since I started my voluntary adventure, I still remember the moment when I applied for the project and all my expectations. I arrived at Târgu Frumos on August 17, and I was met by Mihaela and Federica at the train station. That was when all my fears disappeared. The place and the people made me feel very safe and at home. When I arrived at the Super Tineri (ASIRYS) Center I met another colleague, Yavuzhan. Firstly, I have spent the past several weeks meeting and learning more about my colleagues' countries and traditions. Immediately we became good friends and began to understand the Arts Lab 4.0 project, the idea of the alternative museums of Folklore, Cucuteni, Jewish Memorial Open Museum, and Roma Museum. Secondly, we started our class on the Romanian language and visit more places near our town, Iaşi, Suceava, and Piatra Neamţ. Mi-am promis că voi face un rezumat după fiecare lună petrecută în Finlanda, însă nu am reușit. Șase luni deja au zburat, iar eu încă simt că m-am mutat în Helsinki acum o săptămână. În același timp, am senzația că au trecut șase ani, și este un sentiment ciudat, fiindcă timpul pare să se scurgă în mod diferit pentru mine. S-au întâmplat atât de multe în aceste șase luni, încât nu mi le mai amintesc pe toate, așa că trebuie să mă uit în galeria telefonului, să văd ce poze am făcut, prin ce locuri am trecut, și ce oameni am întâlnit. Am avut ocazia să-mi exersez abilitățile de lider organizând și facilitând training-uri de on-arrival pentru câteva grupuri de voluntari internaționali. Probabil asta a fost partea mea preferată, pentru că am întâlnit peste 50 de voluntari din toată Europa în mai puțin de două luni. Am avut contact și cu comunitatea locală, prin intermediul unor evenimente și festivaluri unde ne-am promovat proiectele, încurajând tinerii să participe în mobilități internați

În perioada 5-25 noiembrie, Asociația Satele Tinerilor, din Franța, găzduiește schimbul de tineri ''What do you do with waste?''. Din partea asociației noastre, vom trimite un grup format din 4 tineri (18-30 de ani) și un lider de grup (minim 18+ani). Proiectul se desfășoară în munții Alpi și propune activități de protecție a mediului, implementând conceptul zero deșeuri. Pe parcursul mobilității, tinerii implicați vor organiza un festival cultural, învățând despre gastronomia și meșteșugurilor localnicilor. Pentru a aplica, vă rugăm să completați acest formular: APPLY HERE .  Organizația noastră nu percepe niciun fel de taxe. Pentru a testa motivația, participanții care nu sunt voluntari ai organizației, vor realiza cel puțin o activitate de voluntariat, la alegere.
