Now I have already been part of this project for two months which means 1/3rd of my time here is over. That is crazy to think about. It simultaneously feels like I have been here forever and like I just arrived yesterday. My second month started with us participating in an event in Ruginoasa. We did some workshops but also got to watch and participate in dances and other traditions. Also, we visited the castle there. The next day we visited the location of the Folcloristica Festival. I especially liked that we got to experience part of a church service there. An even bigger highlight was the fact that the wood for our oven got delivered so we knew that we would be warm and comfortable in winter. For that we gladly dealt with stepping over wood slices and passing some men cutting the wood for a few days. The next week we spent two free days in Constanța. We walked barefoot on the beach and saw the sunrise but also visited museums about art and Folklore. I really loved spending time at t

Two months already has flown by like a blink of an eye. A lot of new things happened and a lot of new beginnings. This month was mostly focused on the folklore of Romania, which I find really interesting and fun to learn about. Romania for sure has a rich history of traditions and stories, and what is most fascinating is how they keep preserving it to this day and for all new generations. We got to work on that this past month and we did several workshops with kids at schools. We also had Folcloristica and I got to experience what being part of a jury is about, I got to see a lot of people from different villages compete with each other not to win something in particular but in fact to keep their legacies alive. It was fun to get to experience that. We went to the seaside of Romania, to Constanța, the black sea, and for me, this short trip of two days was some of the best days so far in my journey here. Connections, discoveries, roller coasters. These are the words I want to use to describe my first month in Romania. The beginning of my new adventure was very fast, but at the same time full of stories, traditions, smiles and emotions.  The warmth and welcome I received immediately made me feel part of a new big family on which I could rely. The activities I had the opportunity to develop were very varied and stimulating. Together with the guys of the team we have in fact created different workshops that have put us in greater contact with local traditions and in particular with folklore. This culture is pulsating and lives thanks to the generations that with enviable care continue to transmit the history that unites them. I really want to continue to discover this heritage, to fully immerse myself in the emotions that this adventure is giving me and to let myself be transported into the future that awaits us. The day I got here I was tired, my trip wasn’t the best, but when I met the team, they were so welcoming, full of life, of art, they made my day.  The next day we started to work, I started to be more involved with the team, and share our ideas. We organized several workshops for the children, it wasn’t easy as I expect but we did it. I visited a lot of museums, and I learned more about Romanian culture and folklore. I participated in the 8th edition of the Folcloristica Festival. I did my first short performance with my talented friends Chiara and Cihan.  I can say my first month wasn’t easy, full of challenges, and new things, but also I can say I learned a lot of things, expressed new emotions, and made a lot of amazing friends.  And the best part is our house, our house is always full of life, joy, art. singing, dancing, and laughing. When I realized that I have been here for two months, I felt that the time passed so quickly but at the same time I lived so many experiences that it's like I've been here for such a long time. During this month new people arrived in the project and the relationship between us become very special: everyone wants to learn things from the others but also we have a lot of fun together.  We want to see as many things as possible and for this reason we traveled a lot: we went to the Red Lake, Sovata, Sibiu, Constanța but we also explored the nature in Târgu Frumos and I'm so happy to have the chance to see so many beautiful places with special people.  During our days we worked in the alternative museum of folklore. This topic was very interesting for me because I discovered how traditional art is very similar during the years but at the same time it's not fixed in the past as the people that make and join it are different. I came to Romania about 5 weeks ago to work as a volunteer in Art Lab 4th team. We are working as eight different artists in this project. Everyone produces works in other branches of art. I feel very lucky to get to know these wonderful people and to collaborate with them on art productions. The time passed really productively and quickly. We visited various exhibitions, museums, different cities and had the opportunity to get to know Romanian culture. Apart from these, we organized various workshops at Petru Rareș high-school. We met a lot of new people. We also organize nights of different cultures every week, our first night was about Romania. We learned dances, music, food, traditional stories in this night. Another event was the Spanish night, we got to know Spanish culture, tasted traditional food and drinks, got information about Madrid. We are currently working on alternative museums and folkloric works. I am learning Romanian culture and folk songs. I will make a Romanian mus
