The opening of the Cucuteni Museum, which we have been working on for a long time, the Latvian night, the Romanian night, the trip we made with our big local volunteers team, the departure of Krista and Leire, whom we have been a family for over 6 months, meeting our new French friend... This is how much we have packed into the shortest month of the year! February was an extremely active, extremely funny, and extremely sad month for me. We opened our Cucuteni Alternative museum, on which we have been working for 3-4 months, and we received very good reactions. Apart from that, we received the support of ''Alexandru Ioan Cuza'' University Museum to host our alternative exhibition, and we had the chance to meet over 30 history students and present our work. Totul a început cu o propunere din partea celei mai bune prietene, în urma unei întâlniri online cu o organizaţie din Târgu Frumos. Cum ar fi să ne implicăm mai mult în comunitate şi să devenim voluntari ASIRYS? Trebuie să recunosc, am acceptat propunerea cu o oarecare reticenţă, din cauza distanţei Pașcani - Târgu Frumos, care avea să devină problemă majoră în ceea ce priveşte activitatea noastră ca voluntari. Însă sunt bucuroasă pentru că nu am lăsat acest impediment să mă oprească în experienţa ce avea să îmi aducă atât de multe oportunităţi. Huge diversity of emotions, lots of ups and downs. A little bit of everything, sometimes maybe a bit too much and sometimes probably not enough. There is no one word, even a full sentence is not enough to describe how it felt, how it was and what this experience has given to me. Whole notebook with 350 pages has been filled with tasks, ideas, summaries, poetry and flow of thoughts and yet, not everything has been said in there. If memories and all the lessons would be stick-able to paper, surely it would take at least 5 times more space. All of it is truly precious, because some of them are captured in pictures, some of them are hiding in my small things left behind by my friends, small notes and vividly sparkly eyes kept in my memory as pictures of mind and soul. M-am apucat de voluntariat cu ajutorul unui prieten care m-a invitat într-un proiect ERASMUS+ să completez echipa şi să am parte de o experienţă ieşită din zona mea de confort, în Slovenia. Acel proiect mi-a schimbat viața şi m-a ajutat enorm pentru că am învăţat foarte mult din activităţile făcute acolo, dar şi din poveştile altor oameni cu care am discutat. Am ales apoi să mă apuc serios de voluntariat în ASIRYS deoarece fratele meu a fost voluntar pentru 6 ani aici şi câteodată am mai mers şi eu cu el la activităţi sau la ieşiri cu voluntarii. Deși eram mic, am remarcat cum centrul de voluntariat a crescut şi și-a extins activităţile şi proiectele. Am fost influenţat să fac voluntariat de fratele meu şi de acel prieten, dar a fost şi propria mea iniţiativă pentru că am vrut să simt experienţa de a fi voluntar nu doar din poveştile altor oameni. Ai o locuință în Târgu Frumos pe care vrei să o vinzi?    Ești în străinătate și ai un apartament și/sau o casă nelocuite în Târgu Frumos?    Atunci intră în comunitatea proprietarilor de locuințe din Târgu Frumos și obține un venit din închirierea apartamentului și/sau a casei tale!  În fiecare zi vedem anunțuri de vânzare publicate de proprietarii de locuințe din Târgu Frumos. Unele sunt de luni sau chiar ani la vânzare, iar tendințele pieței, procentul ridicat de emigrare și faptul că foarte mulți cetățeni preferă să se mute în orașe mari, nu promit o creștere a interesului pentru achiziția de locuințe. Închirierea este o opțiune bună pentru a acoperi anumite costuri și chiar pentru a câștiga un venit suplimentar. În general, proprietarii de locuințe din Târgu Frumos ezită să închirieze pentru că nu au încredere în chiriași și nici nu există o cerere suficient de mare la nivel local.  Programul de închiriere pe care vi-l propunem implică riscuri reduse pentru proprietari. I mentioned several times in my previous reports, that I started working on creating replicas after some of the most important Cucuteni masterpieces. In January I have advanced with the works and produced in a more disciplined way. I combined the information I gathered as a result of my research and applied it to the clay. I spent a month that I will never forget because I have gained an amazing experience. I am proud of the realization of our project that we have planned and thought about for a long time. We shared with people, Cucuteni history in a creative manner. We left an alternative museum for the future. The name of it is Cucuteni Alternative Museum. I will always remember the moments we spent as a team while opening the experiential museum. We found a way to make each other smile even we were a bit stressed. January has been the busiest month for me. I returned from Turkey where I spent my holidays with my family and got sick with Covid. As soon as I arrived in Romania, I immediately started working at the Cucuteni Alternative Museum. I had to give all my energy to finish my own work. I made a ceramic model for Cucuteni village, I designed three Cucuteni architectural designs and I applied Cucuteni patterns on the existing modern buildings. I watched many documentaries and read articles to understand this culture. It was a stressful month, but it was worth the effort. But among all these works, the most important thing for me was to share my culture with people. We organized a movie night with the local volunteers and watched an important movie for all Turkish called 'Hababam Sınıfı'. I introduced Turkish culture with food, dance and songs. Pe 15 februarie am aterizat în Helsinki, prima mea zi în Finlanda ca voluntar ESC în asociația Allianssi Youth Exchanges. Pe 15 martie s-a împlinit o lună de când mi-am început activitatea. Uitându-mă în urmă, simt că zilele au zburat pe lângă mine și mi-e greu să cred că acum nu mai am un an, ci mi-au rămas doar 11 luni la dispoziție să-mi îndeplinesc obiectivele. Deși timpul a trecut atât de repede, am avut experiențe cât pentru trei luni și mă simt ca un burete care a absorbit tot ce se putea: de învățat, de distrat, de văzut și de experimentat. La începutul proiectului ca voluntar ESC, ai oportunitatea de a merge în așa-numitul on arrival training, care este organizat de Agenția Națională. Eu am participat la training în Kokkola, unde timp de o săptămână, am parcurs împreună cu alți voluntari din Finlanda un program menit să ne ajute în noua noastră experiență. January felt like a really long month, but at the same time every single day was flying at the speed of light. Most likely reason to feel like that was that January was overfilled with creating, finishing and working again and again on everything that is needed for a successful exhibition opening. But through this adventure together as a team, we have grown even more and at the same time finally we have learned to a greater extent than expected from each other, picked up new skills and resolved tasks, which were giving a lot of rebuses to work through. I am glad that we had such a productive and determined month, all together working for a greater purpose which will be living on for so many more years. It has been an honor to work on fundamental stones for future volunteer generations and professionally growing as a crew and individually.
